The industrial requirements for the individual connections of several components are continuously increasing in terms of data acquisition and evaluation. To ensure consistently high quality, it is usually no longer sufficient to manually declare assembled components OK or not OK. Traceability of the individual connections is of particular relevance here.

The lighting acts as a status indicator: green light means that the next work step can follow immediately, red light indicates that the component does not fulfil the quality requirements. The safety gate remains closed until the error message is set to "Reset". This immediate visual feedback enables workers to keep their focus on the assembly workstation without having to look at the control panel. Perfect for efficient organisation of the assembly workstation.

The new standard in the production of electronic components: The TOX^® FlexPress Compact is now ESD-certified in accordance with the IEC DIN EN 61340-5-1 standard. The compact manual workstation effectively protects products from the dangers of electrostatic discharge (ESD).

Electronic components are susceptible to voltage breakdowns, which can lead to malfunctions or total failure. Thanks to ESD certification, the FlexPress Compact offers maximum safety and quality in the production of sensitive electronic components. This ensures reliable and risk-free production.

FlexPress Compact - the compact manual workstation

Robust construction for safe working and high stability

The workstation is driven by the electromechanical servo presses from the TOX^® ElectricDrive series. EQe-K and EXe-K drives with integrated force and displacement sensors are installed for this purpose. The press structure consists of a welded frame on which the drive, the safety device, the panelling and the drive cover are mounted. This design promises a long service life and creates a pleasant noise level for the workers.

As a result, the FlexPress Compact is not only very quiet in operation, but also requires little space. All the technologies mastered by TOX^® can be realised on a footprint of just 425mm x 703mm x 1402mm. Even with the base frame/table, this corresponds to less than 1 square metre in the workshop.

The operators control the assembly workstation via the 15" UDI panel. This represents operation, process monitoring and analysis tool in one - a universal data interface.

The simple setting of the desired process and a quick tool change ensure maximum flexibility in the application. For example, the manual workstation enables the production of prototypes in small quantities during the early shift in order to switch to series production of other components during the late shift. At the same time, you can also obtain the associated tools directly from TOX^® PRESSOTECHNIK according to your ideas and requirements.

With the Ethernet-based I/O module, you can also extend the functionality many times over, e.g:
