TOX® ElectricDrive Core
The electromechanical drive TOX® ElectricPowerDrive EXe-K is equipped with a planetary roller screw, which, compared to the recirculating ball screw, allows a more compact design, higher speeds and stronger loads over longer times. As a result, the EXe-K offers the same performance in a smaller package than other servo press drives. The compact design of the drive makes it ideally suited for systems with tight spaces.

Safety brake
In the event of a malfunction, the safety brake stops the ElectricPowerDrive and protects against injury. The brake is checked for functionality before each cycle.
Motor holding brake
The motor holding brake prevents the weight-loaded working piston from dropping when the system is de-energized. The motor holding brake is connected via the motor cable included in the cable set.
Cleanroom
Clean room design. Can be used up to air purity class 5 in accordance with ISO 14644-1.
Engine fan
The EXe servo drives can be equipped with a fan, which cools the motor, if required. This enables a higher power density and thus lower cycle rates.

What is a cleanroom?
A cleanroom is a controlled environment specifically designed to minimize the number of particles in the air. These environments are essential to ensure the purity of products in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and semiconductor manufacturing.
Cleanrooms are classified according to ISO cleanroom classes, which define the degree of air purity. The requirements for a cleanroom include strict control of temperature, humidity and particle count. Cleanroom certification ensures that the cleanroom classification is adhered to.
Cleanroom certified to ISO class 5
With their cleanroom compatibility according to ISO 14644-1, Class 5, our electric cylinders set new standards in cleanroom-compatible joining technology.
According to the cleanroom classification, ISO class 5 defines that no more than 3,520 particles of 0.5 micrometers or larger may be present per cubic meter of air. A cleanroom of this class ensures that the environment is extremely clean and meets the high standards required for sensitive applications.
