Precise fixation

TOX® SeamStaking reliably stabilises sheet metal components, thereby preventing them from shifting during the rest of the production process. The technology is particularly suitable for folded assemblies with high requirements in terms of dimensional accuracy, component alignment and surface quality, such as doors, bonnets or tailgates in bodywork construction. Thanks to the local, form-fitting fixation, the joining parts remain precisely positioned, enabling subsequent manufacturing processes to be carried out reliably and efficiently.

Securely fixing sheet metal components

TOX® SeamStake technology ensures reliable fixing of sheet metal components through precise form-fit connections. This method effectively prevents displacements in the plane direction and is often used in folded component areas. An outstanding feature of this technology is that it does not affect the opposite surface of the component, as the mould geometry is particularly delicate.

By implementing this innovative joining technology in the production process, energy-intensive thermal joining processes can be reduced to some extent. This leads to a more efficient use of resources and improved production quality.

The SeamStake cold forming process

TOX® SeamStake technology is based on the principle of cold forming and offers an advanced joining technique for industrial sheet metal processing. It is ideal for applications where thermal joining is not required without compromising on stability and quality.

Through targeted use in environments with high demands on process reliability and component compatibility, SeamStaking can be used to realise an alternative joining technology that has proven itself for both fixing and punching sheet metal. It enables the production of a permanent form-fit connection, even with complex component geometries.
